I will be celebrating our 53nd wedding anniversary The last reunion that we went to was the 50th reunion.
I am now in Broomfield and I owned McDonald Carpet One Floor and Home on Arapahoe in Boulder (across the street from where the Motorina Drive In used to be). My wife and I bought it in 1995 after working at that store since 1978. Lynn and I have retired and we have sold the store to my son and his wife. They had been working at the store for at least 10 years prior to us selling it to them so they were ready.
Thanks everyone for their hard work on putting this together.
I moved to Boulder in the summer of my junior year from Abilene, Texas so I only had two years to blend into the class of 1964. I became friends with people in both the senior and sophomore classes. I came from a much larger high school in Texas so making friends here was pretty easy but leaving people that I had gone to school with since 1st grade was hard at first.
One of my best friends was in the class of 1963 and I still have contact with him and one of my first girl friends was in the class of 1966. I lost contact

Some of my most memorable moments were playing football (not very well) for Bob Foster and Dan Creese. Also being in the play that year and going on hoot-nanies. Also going to street dances and listening The Astronauts before they made it to the big time. I still have one of their records. I also still think of some of my favorite teachers. Most have passed now but I think I still have the spelling and definition words that Mrs Carlson used to pass out to us.
My senior year I took a drafting class from Mr Huber. I remember I needed a filler class to graduate and I didn't think I would ever need to use this skill. Silly me I have used it everyday for the last 45 years or so. Fortunately I was able to see Mr. Huber before he died and told him that I used his teachings and he was pleased.
I also had contact with Mrs Carlson a couple of times. Once was when I sold her flooring. We were going to install it during the Thanksgiving break. She passed away at her desk at Fairview just before that Thanksgiving. I was grateful to have taken typing from Mrs Bennington as I used that skill in the service.
I would imagine that some of my classmates have had their children graduate from Fairview as my twin daughters did but I have had a granddaughter graduate in the 50th graduating class a few years ago.
I lived next door to Bob Foster, our football coach from 1982 to 1986 and still have contact with Joanne, his wife.

Karl, I just love your sense of humor.
I was sad to see in your bio that you had lost a son. I am sorry to say that my wife and I also lost a son from SIDS.
