Comments:

My classmates probably do not know that our daughter Tammy died when she was 18 years old or that we raised one of the children I used to care for in family childcare since she was 12 years old. She lives here in Ponca City and has two children. Our son has two children as well, and still lives in Colorado.
The important events in my life since high school would be having children, being married to my great husband for 50 years this coming October, and pursuing higher education. I was awarded the Child Care Center Director of the year for Oklahoma in 2011. That was cool. I also teach at our Tech center and for our Center for Early Childhood Professional Development all for Early Education.
The childcare center I directed for 14 years closed on July 31, 2014. It had been nationally accredited for 6 years. This was an unexpected occurrence for me. I did not intend to retire yet. I was lucky to have been given a job as the Executive Director of an equine therapeutic ranch outside of Ponca City for adults who have developmental delays or handicaps. This endeavor begins on September 8, 2014. Hence, I will not be able to attend the reunion.
If we have another reunion, which I hope we do, I will make every effort to attend. I hope you all have a great time renewing old friendships. The therapy ranch did not work out as I was unable to pass the certification to become a certified Instructor for people who have disabilities. Partly because I was thrown from a horse and now walk with a cane. Loved the horses and the clients. Retired now and it was about time. Love the time now with my Husband.

School Story:

I think the things that were the most memorable at FHS for me were participating in the Marching Band, being chosen as a lab assistant in chemistry, and having good friends and classmates and the time to enjoy them.
