Carol James Wang

January 16, 1946 - January 27, 2004

Carol James Wang of Boulder died Tuesday, January 27, 2004, of complications of surgery in Boulder.  She was 58.  The duagher of Charles L. James and Betty Lininger James, she was born on January 16, 1946, in Norman, OK.  She married Charlie Wang in 1969, in Reno, NV.  They divorced in 1985.

She graduated from Metropolitan State College in 1968.  Ms. Wang worked for a travel agent for numerous years.  "She traveled extensively and enjoyed everywhere she went.  She also enjoyed dogs," her family said.

Ms. Wang moved to Boulder in 1962 from Tulsa, OK.  She was a member of the First Congregational Church in CA.  Survivors include her mother of Boulder; a son, Gary Wang of Beaumont, CA; and a sister, Marcia Ware of Monrovia, CA.  She was preceded in death by her father.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Howe Mortuary of Boulder, 2121 11th St.  The Rev. John Hess of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.  Interment will be at Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th St., Boulder.  Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, 2323 55th St., Boulder, CO 80301.
