Sally Ann Henderson Dell

February 23, 1946 - May 20, 2008

Sally Ann Dell, 62, of Longmont, CO, passed away quietly at her home on May 20, 2008, surrounded by her immediate family.  Sally was born February 23, 1946, in Falls City, NE, to Russell Griffiths and Harriett Maxine (Fries) Henderson.  She was raised in NE, CO, and WA, and graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder in 1964.  On February 28, 1969, she married Kenneth C. Dell in Boulder.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Kenneth C. Dell of Longmont; duaghers, Tana Dell of Broomfield and Tiffany Dell of Boulder; sisters, Judy E. White of Westminster, and Nancy Evers Miller of New York City; as well as numerous cousins, nephew, and a host of friends.

Sally was employed as a legal secretary and worked for Transplan, RCG Hagler Bailly, and Stratus Consulting, Boulder.  She also volunteered for Guideline, a mental health crisis hotline and was an active member of the First Congregational Church for many years.

She received two kidney transplants, one in 1986, and one in 2005.  Sally attended the Transplant Olympics in Innsbruck in 1987, and in Singapore in 1989.  She was an active member of the Democratic Party and had many interests to include, but not limited to, the arts, music, dance, family, holidays, congregating and socializing, but most of all, she had countless friends and an unprecedented zest for life.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation.  A memorial celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2008, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1500 9th Ave., Longmont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of CO, ID, MT, and WY, 3151 S.
